Catawba Lands Conservancy Connects People to Nature

In 2016 a $74,000 grant was made to Catawba Lands Conservancy (CLC) to fund a new program coordinator position to enable CLC to advance its mission to connect people to the natural spaces that CLC works to protect. Nine hundred fifty-seven members, 3,079 youth, and 9,306 individuals from the general public participated in a variety of programs including volunteer workdays, outdoor recreation events, and nature/environmental education events. Our grant enabled CLC to establish new community partnerships and support their development work.
