Supportive Housing Communities Helps Transition Homeless Families

In 2017 Women’s Impact Fund made a one-year $60,000 grant to Supportive Housing Communities (SHC) to provide housing and support services to formerly homeless families. Thirty-two families, including 107 family members, were served by SHC. All families were assessed to determine services needed including mental, medical, substance abuse, and educational services. In addition, SHC developed an individual plan for 100% of the families that monitored both their progress toward their goals and their mental health.
